PARTNERS

Your FULLY SUPPORTED Company Of One

In 1944, Thomas Saltmarsh, Harold Cleaveland and Charles Gund pooled their talents and modest resources to form a partnership for their practice of accounting. Their success was attributed to their guiding principles of honesty and integrity, accuracy and thoroughness, quality client service and most importantly, the believe that service to the community is an individual, as well as a corporate, responsibility.

Today, Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. offers a variety of services to both national and international clients—from accounting, bookkeeping and taxation to consulting services. Through their membership in the PKF North American Network, an international association of independent CPA firms, they offer services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Far East. The PKF North American Network offers a world class network of experience and expertise—unlike that usually found in a local or regional accounting firm.
As with all of the BOTH services, bookkeeping is made available online from the Client’s BOTH workspace, with assistance—if needed. The My Bookkeeping Tab on the BOTH Workspace contains five (5) electronic folders:

The Invoices Folder is populated by the BOTH Advisor™, based upon billing instructions provided by the Client. The Receipts Folder is created by the Client through scanning and sending PDF files to it or by mailing the receipts to their Advisor, who will create it. The Reports Folder is created by the Advisor and updated regularly. Client bookkeeping is done by professional accountants at Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. who will have “read-only access” to the Client’s bookkeeping file and checking account statement. The Budget Folder is created and loaded with the initial Budget Template.

Using those raw data, Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. will create the following reports:

  • Profit and Loss Statement
• Budget to Actual Results Comparison
• Balance Sheet
• Checking Account Reconciliation

The Client’s BOTH Advisor will email an advisory note to the Client when updated reports are available. The Archives Folder will contain all invoices and receipts that have been transmitted to Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. for compiling the Client’s financial statements that have been reviewed and approved by the Client. All Client data and bank statements will be archived and secured at the BOTH Data Center, but always available in the Archives Folder on the Client Workspace.

The Client is in complete control of the Bookkeeping function. Neither Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A. nor BOTH can make entries or changes to them unless directed to do so by the client. The Both Advisor will seek assistance from Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund, P.A.
